12 weeks {+1 day}

**sorry for the pile of posts showing up on your feed. apparently my posts weren't publishing when I was scheduling them.**

I had my 12 week appointment today (12 weeks! how did this happen?!). I heard the heartbeat again (165) and it was beautiful. Ben and Parker went with me, but Parker had a melt down in the waiting room so they went for a walk & drive while I had my appointment. Everything is looking good, and I go back in two weeks for an ultrasound to check on my cervical length.

For some reason, this pregnancy still doesn't feel real. My belly is slowly growing, I'm still nauseous every morning and evening, I've seen the baby on ultrasound twice, but I just don't feel like it's actually happening. I know, it sounds crazy but that's just how it is for now. It's so different from when I was pregnant the first time. That was one planned & it was all I could think about. This one was a surprise and I also have a toddler to chase around all day, so I don't stop to really think about being pregnant/the baby that often. I really hope it sinks in soon!

That's really all there is for this update. I know, it's kind of boring. There just isn't much going on in the pregnancy department. I fully intended on taking a belly picture today (because I looked really pretty in a new dress!), but it didn't happen. Next week?
